Yesterday I had the privilege in shooting the wedding of David and Michael along with my second shooter Ellie Cutajar.
Previously I met the couple a handful of times as we have a mutual friend and through them they asked if I could photograph their wedding. After our initial meeting going over the details of the big day I realised that this was not just another run of the mill location and it was going to be held at the amazing venue of Fifteen Ninety Nine which is at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
The main hall in which the ceremony was being held was ideal for lighting and the library also had a very unique look for some more intimate snaps. As well as this we had the option of using the lecture hall in which the group shots were to be taken in. And after scouting the location I knew I had to capturing one particular shot of the couple paired with the red seats with one individual flash for a dramatic look.
From the start of the day it was a very relaxed atmosphere, they opted not to go for the usual walk down the aisle. This allowed them to enjoy a drink with their guests as they arrived. Which is something I had never seen before.
From the beginning of the guests arriving to the very first dance you could tell they were surrounded by family and friends who love them very dearly and pairing this with their own personal touches it was a lovely wedding.
Thank you David and Michael for allowing me to snap the big day for you. And thank you to Ellie Cutajar for being my second photographer on the day and helping me out.
